Brandon Rollins is a marketing consultant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the founder and CEO of Pangea Marketing Agency, and the Director of Marketing at Fulfillrite, a third-party logistics company he has led marketing for since 2019. This site is where he writes Practical Marketing, a publication on marketing for service business owners who want advice grounded in measurable revenue.
Practical Marketing is written for people who run service businesses and are tired of marketing advice that can't be checked. The through-line of everything published here: if you can't measure it in your own books, you shouldn't have to take anyone's word for it.
Topics include SEO and lead generation for service businesses, marketing attribution and tracking, what agencies won't tell you about your own campaigns, how AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude decide which businesses to recommend, and how to measure where you stand.
Before any of this, Brandon Rollins designed and published board games. He ran Pangea Games and wrote Brandon the Game Dev, a blog about game design, Kickstarter campaigns, and publishing that sometimes covered marketing.
Board game design taught the lesson the rest of this site is built on: you cannot trust your own judgment about whether something works. You have to put it in front of real people, watch what happens, measure it, and iterate based on what you observe.
In 2019, that blog caught the attention of Charlie Brieger, CEO of Fulfillrite, a third-party logistics company in New Jersey. Charlie needed someone to run marketing and, based on the writing, thought Brandon might be the right fit. He flew Brandon up to New Jersey to talk it through, and Pangea Marketing Agency was created to serve Fulfillrite's needs.
Seven years later, that engagement is still running. Fulfillrite's revenue quadrupled in the first two years, and the company grew from a single 10,000 square foot warehouse in 2019 to 120,000 square feet across three warehouses as of 2026. The full numbers are in the Fulfillrite case study.
The same measurement-first approach has since worked for other service businesses, including landscaping, home services, and logistics companies. One example with public numbers: a Detroit-area landscaping company that turned $4,068 in ad spend into $26,335 in tracked revenue during a 72-day test, documented in the Stoney's Landscaping case study.

Three jobs, all backed by a single coherent philosophy:
Pangea Marketing Agency. A boutique, measurement-first SEO and lead generation consultancy in Chattanooga for service businesses, with a deliberately small client roster and a small contractor team. The agency builds tracking before it spends marketing dollars, so clients can see what their money produces. Details at pangeamarketing.us.
Fulfillrite. As Director of Marketing since 2019, Brandon runs the marketing department end to end: content, ads, SEO, lead tracking, and attribution.
Practical Marketing. This site: the methods from those two jobs, explained in public.
Outside of work, Brandon still playtests the occasional board game, has grown 330 pounds of produce this year, and hopes to learn to waltz without stepping on his wife’s toes.
Brandon Rollins has been quoted as a marketing source in outlets including Quartz and CMSWire; his press profile is on Qwoted. He appeared on the Fractional Maven podcast in the episode Marketing Is Not a Cost Center and spoke at the Software Oasis Summit.
He writes regularly beyond this site: the Fulfillrite blog, where he has published for seven years on fulfillment and eCommerce logistics, and guest work including on the Kickstarter blog.
You can also find him on LinkedIn, and the board game era lives on at Brandon the Game Dev.
